Hi, my name is Jennifer Calderón and I’m a public relations professional and freelance writer from San Diego, California.

As a writer, there’s nothing scarier than staring at a blank page and starting a new draft, but I wouldn’t have it any other way: writing and storytelling is what I love to  do.

I earned my Masters in Communication Management from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. During my undergraduate tenure at the University of California, Irvine’s Literary Journalism Program, I studied under Pulitzer Prize-winning author Barry Siegel, former Los Angeles Times national correspondent Erika Hayasaki, multi award-winning novelist Amy Wilentz, and other esteemed faculty.

My work has been published in HelloGiggles, AOL’s Patch.com, Orange Coast MagazineSan Diego Reader, and in various other publications throughout Southern California. I am also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America’s San Diego/Imperial Counties chapter.

This website is a place where I retreat to and blog about a variety of topics such as travel, the goings-on in my hometown, media & pop-culture, and life as I know it.
